ah dangit, screwed up my tach
I was bored this morning and i found my package of my white faced gauges on my porch at about 9:00 in the morning, Went and put them on and everything went smoothly, I started at the fuel/water gauge, kinda touched the needle a little (ok a lot) and it went on and seems fine, the speedo was no problem, I barely touched the tach needle and finally when i got it all back together, the tach goes from 0k to like .5 k and didn't move when i hit the gas.
what to do?

touching the needles is bad because they are very sensitive but they should move that much. if it's only the tach trying revving while holding the needle lightly at the base also make sure there is catching under the needle base..
Past that i don't like to touch gauge faces i do it when i have to.

well i know if you got a jdm cluster it is as easy as pie to instal. take out the screws holding in ur stock one, take the plugs out, plug in, and screw back together.

Check to make sure the needle is hitting the new gauge face. That could be keeping the needle from going any higher than 500 RPM.

I'm heisitant to help, I saw the ClubSi post....
In any event since I try to be a helpful guy, I'd say like above make sure the needle isn't touching any part of the new guage face that you put on. Next make sure nothing is holding the need itself back from moving beyond the 500 RPM mark. And if all else fails, time for a new tach meter which can be had for a moderate price (though a bit less than local dealership) from off www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
