Which is the better car...
I have two choices... I can either go with a '99 Honda Civic SI with around 75,000 miles that has a ton of mods (Turbo & intercooler, Racing seats, Lowered, Gauges, B/O/V, Camber kit, Full black widow kit & hood) for around 11,500. Or I could go with a '02 or '03 Acura RSX with around 32,000 miles, but completely stock and will be around 12,500-13,500. The RSX might either be Type S or not...so if it isn't Type S is the Honda a better buy...or still go with the RSX???
Also as far as the turbo goes in the Civic...does that automatically make the insurance prices go up? Would it be best (and is it easy) to just take that out? Thanks in advance, |

Personally I would go with the RSX. Unless you just love the way that civic looks, sounds, feels, you would probably be happier with the RSX. I couldnt buy a car that was so modified unless I felt it reflected my personality. I know that sounds wierd but I figure theres some people here who would agree with my thinking. Also the civic might not have been modified right, theres a lot of temptations to take shortcuts when turbocharging a car.
And as far as I know the insurance company never has to know about that turbo, so it shouldnt effect the insurance, and unless it messes up your emmisions or its damaging the engine you shouldnt feel inclined to take it off. |

Strato, I completely agree with you. On a more practical note, a car wtih that many performance mods has probably been driven hard or abused.
