Re: Audiobahn Awt-12x

If you don't want my opinion don't ask for it. It wont agree with your opinion. I AM TIRED OF DEALING WITH YOU. The amp stinks... plain and simple. It is a huge drain on your electical system, it isnt even a class D amp. LOOKS mean nothing in car audio

Re: Audiobahn Awt-12x

Im all up for your help, I saw that tsunami amp, sounds like loads of power for a good priec, what you think of the hifonics brutus, I heard the zeus usd to be a pretty good amp, and this one is 1500 watts rms for 310 I think. do they push almost what they say?

and what kind of subs do you like to have 2 of them in a 4 ft^3 slot ported enclosure.

I want it to be nice and loud, but sound decent at the same time. these are the last 2 setups Ive had, the firts was alot louder but the 2nd sounds clean and is still about as loud as I need, but Id like to be able to be much louder when I want to.

1st. 1 audiobahn AW1200X 12" high excursion in a ported enclosure, 2 3" ports and it had an airspace of 3.4 ft^3 after considering any bracing and sub/port displacement, and was tuned to 37 hz./ this was runnign off of a audiobahn AW1300HCX amp (rated at 600x1@2 ohms). and 2nd

audiobahn Alum12Q 2" aluminum sub in a 2.5 ft^3 sealed box off of a JBL BP1200.1.

I am thikning of sending the amp in to JBL to get repaired cuz it is a beats and I dont wanna get rid of it, I got in a wreck and once I hooked up power to it after the wreck, thick black smoke and hissing but no bass. I opened her up and all the black boxes around the perimeter of the board are melted.

I was thinkign of maybe 1 IDmax ported, or a couple punch HX2's, I have heard of the adire audio's before, thats who makes the brahma or whatever right? how much those go for?

Re: Audiobahn Awt-12x

Ok, Do you have tools to make a box. Ported boxes are like bandpass, you cant just slap any old sub in there.

Secondly brahma, www.adireaudio.com Will run you about 400, www.reaudio.com makes a SX and a XXX that are worth checking out, but both are about 200+. One or two AE15s would be good to check out from www.edesignaudio.com. Idmaxs are great too. I would aviod the RF stuff if you want some clarity

yeah, I got tools, I have always built my boxes, never bought one, its cheaper plus you have the box you want for the sub you got, not what some compsany guesses will work ok with many different subs.

I made my ported box on winisd. and my sealed box i did on winisd but i didnt know what the qtc is or anything so it didnt help me much.

and ab out the ported box thing, I want a sub that is good in a ported box because I had 2 of those hgih excursiopns running off that audiobahn amp in a sealed box(not a large one though) and the one sub ported to that amp was WAY louder. plus it didnt really sound any crappier to my ear than when they were sealed.

Re: Audiobahn Awt-12x

Audiobahn=crap

I would try one of the edesign combos honestly. www.edesignaudio.com/combo

This sounds like you to me

Combo #2A (1) Two of any Ov.2 driver + Nine.1 Amplifier (1200x1 @ 1ohm) for $580.00
(2) 13Ov.2 Dual 4+ (1)eD NINe.1 Amplifier $580.00 Pre-Order* / Regular Cost $850.00 -
We recommend .8cF Sealed before displacement per driver OR 1.5cF tuned to 30Hz for optimal results.
(2) 16Ov.2 Dual 2 + (1)eD NINe.1 Amplifier $580.00 Pre-Order* / Regular Cost $950.00 -
We recommend 1.5-1.8cF Sealed before displacement OR 2.5-2.8cF tuned to 30Hz for optimal results.
