99' Malibu LS that dosen't want to start
I have a 99' Malibu LS (65k miles) that will not start after heavy rain. I have been able to start it for only a souple seconds at a time. When using starting fluid I can ceep it running for a short time. I checked the fule injector fule rails and they appear to have pressure. I pulled the spart plugs and they are very dry even after it should have been fludded after truning it over for a while. The fule injector and fule pump fuses are good. This happened several months ago & I replaced the Wires & Spark plugs, it was fine untill this heavy rain. Any Ideas? I can not get it running to get it to a test facility without a tow ($). Is there a controler for the injectors that may be getting wet? how much pressure should be in the Fule rails?

bmfzo6 Thanks for the reply. Any info on where the security relays are? Sorry about the typos on the post I guess I was a little tired last night. Are they in the passenger side dash board area? Water comes thru the vent on that side with very heavy rain.

I have had the same issue and was to by a Chevy dealer to turn the key foward to the start position and leave it there until the Theft System light stop blinking then turn if off and try to start it. This apparently resets the Theft System. There is a catch though, this can drain your battery. So far this has worked for me.
