Re: BOV noise

It a blow off valve that releases or rather controls the extra pressure from the turbo.

Re: Re: Re: Re: BOV noise

cheach to see if the vacume line is attacher to the b.o.v. the fluttering noise can be that the vacume line is disconnected which leads the bov to be shut causing a back spining action on your turbo.. chech if the vacume line is connected i had this similar problem with my car.. also if you car feels sluggisht its a vacume line not connected or a leak some where in your system

Re: BOV noise

I never even had the vacumn line on my BOV cause I never knew where it went until I seen a vacumn cap on my intake manifold. That fluttering sound might have something to do with its adjustment. Are you sure that that fluttering sound isnt your wastegate...i know mine makes a lil flutter sound.

I have a Type-S GReddy and I dont really like it, I want the loudest one possible....any suggestions?

HKS super sequential is pretty loud i think, and there's another one by HKS(i think) that's called a Supersonic.. that's gotta be loud just from the name

Re: BOV noise

Run a stock type BOV, one that has an outlet pipe, not an air horn to amplify the sound. Then run a hose from the outlet to the intake pipe for your turbo. The noise will be barely noticeable, if at all. Very very rarely I'll hear it on my dad's audi TT, nor on any of the turbo Volvos.
