boost

Well finally got everythings hooked on for my turbo charged civic, I don't have a guage, so I don't know if it is boosting. can't hear anything cause I still don't have my downpipe connected to the cat yet.

How can I tell if its boosting. also the blow off vavle makes NO noise, I haven't put in the check valves yet. So I know I should see the check engine light.

What should I do?

Re: boost

are you just in nuetral. if you are then you wont see much if any boost. you need to be driving, you need a load to see boost. i dont suggest driving around with no downpipe cause your underhood temps will just get rediculously hot. wait till you get everything together and its driveable to see if you are making boost.

There is a downpipe connected, just not connected to the cat. That is getting fixed later on today or tommorrow. I have been driving around the block, scaring everyone on the side of the road. I have hit 4k thats the highest that I have hit, don't want to redline yet. Is that still to low to hit boost??
