1979 TBird rag joint replacement, DESPERATE!!
Anyone who knows where I can obtain a replacement rag joint for the power-steering on my 1979 Ford Thunderbird please help me! I hold the car very dear to me and I would appreciate any tips or help at all. My Bird has a 351 Windsor and is not a Landau. If I cannot find a replacement, I will have no choice but to junk it. Please respond if you can help me. Thanks everyone.

Check out this link and maybe call themClassique Cars or do a search for Tbird clubs and ask this question on a couple of the vintage Tbird sites.

your best bet for answers to questions on classic birds would be the VTCI. http://vintagethunderbirdclub.org/

Any major parts store carries them. (Checker, Advance, AutoZone) They can be found in the HELP section on the sales floor. All you need is the disc part of the coupling. You keep your original hardware.
