No more French Grand Prix
So we get Canada back on the schedule and we lose France......where will the madness end?
Seems the organisors can't come up with the money Ecclestone wants so they won't be able to host the GP. Why does this annoy me so much Ecclestone and his frigging money will be the death of the sport!! http://f1.racing-live.com/en/headlin...21204437.shtml

Re: No more French Grand Prix
It's getting ridiculous. Why did they bother announcing the calendar in the first place? Idiots. I was actually looking forward to having an extra race next season...
It seems quite final now, although in reality one never knows, they may get back on the calendar before the season gets under way. Edit: shouldn't have said "it's getting ridiculous". It's already past ridiculous.

What? You mean that money is the only reason for Bernie to cancel a GP.... No I can't believe that. I know he like smoking because he cancelled some GP where tabacco advert where banned, but I didn't know he liked money too this fricking prick.

Oh for crying out loud!
Are all the people involved just bloody idiots??? Seriously, they ALL have something wrong in their heads. During the last several days there have been several statements on the issue. First the organizers refused to pay. Then they sent a signed contract to the FOM with financial guarantees, so basically the event is "saved". That was yesterday. NOW there is this: the regional councillors at Burgundy, who it had been hoped would supply two million euros (2.5 million dollars) for the staging of the race, then threw out next year's budget. "In refusing the budget for 2004, the leftwing and the National Front together have rejected the plan to ensure the French Grand Prix," said opposition politician Jean-Pierre Soisson. "It is a bad blow for Magny-Cours and for Burgundy." Bloody idiots. And I mean everyone involved.

It's almost better not to track off season news and just watch the races to see who wins, because the rest of F1 is simply bullshit.
