Bushing?

I have narrowed it down to kyb agx with eibach prokit
or kyb agx wih H&R springs. Which one is better.

I started making call on the prices and one person told me I might need some bushing since my car has over 300k mile. Now what in the world are bushing? Do I need it or I'm just wasting money?

Bushing help isolate vibrations and also help in suspension parts in making them move easier. All are made of rubber. And of course rubber can wear out, and if you get an upgraded suspension it will not work as well with worn out bushings.

You have motor mount bushings which isolate vibration from the motor. These car rip and tear as the car gets older.

And you have suspension bushings which are compressed, turned, squashed and exposed to road dirt and salt. These will wear out too.

They look like basically rubber tubes that get inserted in joints. Most street cars come with soft bushings which makes them nice for everyday driving.

Aftermarket bushings like Energy Suspension or Prothane have a harder durometer (hardness scale) so your suspension works better and handles better at the cost of more vibration and stiffer ride.

I installed the whole ES bushing kit since the rules for autocrossing in my class allow it. This is one of the best upgrades I've done. Although I do have to keep on top of greasing the bushings once in awhile.

thanks, what it sounds to me is that I need bushing.

Which shocks to go with, kyb with Eibach or kyb with H&R?

The main bushings will be lower control arm bushings 99.9% chance those bolts will be frozen inside the bushings. Those bolts must be removed in order to replace shocks/springs. It would be a wise idea to replace and/or upgrade the suspension bushings due to the mileage. Performance poly(ES or Prothane) will be much cheaper than Honda bushings - labor for a bushing kit is about 10.0hrs. The poly WILL be noisy if not lubed well & become rock HARD in cold climates resulting in a harsh ride.

The upper strut mount bushings should be replace ANY time the suspension is apart.

I have the Eibach Pro-kit & KYB AGX's on my car, I am very happy it. The H&R's w/ AGX's would also be a nice set-up.

Base your suggestion, I will go with KYB, H&R springs and new bushings. This combo it will make my car feels like it came straight out of the factory. If there anything else I need to do to my suspension just I'm do let me know.

Nice choice

Couple of things about the AGX's or any adjustable in that matter. Leave them on the lowest setting for the first 500-750 miles & DO NOT drive around all the time with them on the highest setting. First off, that setting may even be too stiff for track conditions, very shitty ride on the street(could make you sick), & will wear the shock quicker than normal.
