tinting windows on my bird

I have a silver '98 Formula, and i wanna tint my windows. I wanna get my rear tinted pretty darn dark. What i don't know about is the side windows, it is illegal in CA to tint them, but i really wanna do it anyways. I am thinking a light tint, but i wanna see if anyone has pictures of a light tint on a silver firebird for the sides. I'm worried the the tint darkness difference between the t-tops and the side windows may look wierd.

well i cant help u 2 much, but i know here in canada u cant tint your front windows/side, u can only tint your back and back sides, and if u do tint your front a little lighter it might not look so well since u got 2 diffrent tints, well just my 2 cents. sry man

what about the mirror tint?
I really like it but I dont know what to do with the t-tops. Should I tint those in mirror too or leave them alone?

If you mean the metallic tint, like on Lexus's...i'd REALLY advice against that. I've seen it on other cars and it really looks like crap.

If you are gonna do it though, i'd deffinitely say to do the t-tops too...although they'll look weird as they have a factory tint and the shiny part will be darker and off from the windows.

I do like the mirror tint. I think they may be able to show me what it looks like. Everybody has the regular tint. I don't want to be common.

I see what you mean, but truthfully the reason people have normal tint on f-bodies is b/c it looks better. Its your car though, so have at it.

I haven't been pulled yet for the tint, and i've had them tinted since last may (a year and 2 months or so). I also live in San Diego, where the cops are kinda abundant, and Cali being the nazi state.

I don't remember how much i paid for it, its been too long to remember.

Yeah, it does look good. I've given serious thought to going 5% all around on my SS. The black on black will look great IMO...

I had the rear tinted 5% on back and dark (20%) sides on my black formula, After I did the T-tops 5%, it was perfect, not to noticable (tickets in cali) and still dark...Before the T-tops, it was not enough...My friend has a 300Z with T-tops all Limo, his is almost too dark at night, perfect in the day though...He has gotten 2-tickets in last 1-1/2 years for his tint (after recieving speeding tickets)
