Rolls or Bentley
Can anyone tell me what the connection between the two aforementioned makes is with each other? It seems that when Rolls deploys and car, Bentley takes the model and makes simple changes and makes it better! Is that it! Is it what MG has become form Rover?
Please inform me! Lee Moffatt - Puzzled |

Well back around the time of the Silver Seraph and Arnage, Bentley and RR were like partners (And had teh MG-Rover thing going on) But Bentley was bought by Volkswagen and RR by BMW, in 1998 (I think) and the two compnaies have now parted (The Arnage and Silver Seraph are the last co-developed cars) |

Isn't that discrimination? To ban someone for what they are?

When you paid for a Rolls or Bentley, you got 1a quality. For years Bentley was the sports derivative of the Rolls-Royce cars! The executives made that for decades clear with toher suspension and engine settings Hope i have helped! |

From what I've heard, in the "real world" people would buy Bentleys if they didn't want to seem "pretentious". Either one would work for me, especially the one shown below Jeff |

RR or Bentley?
What a question,... They are the same car with different manufacturing credits is all. That is like saying "Jaguar or Diamler",...again they are the same vehicle with different trim and/or options depending on what manufacturing name you chose.

Re: Rolls or Bentley
They are both classic style, i think a rolls would be better cuz it has stronger classic design to it

Re: Rolls or Bentley
In 1933 RR bought Bentley. From then on the cars where built side by side. On many models (almost all post WWII) the only difference was the grill, mascot, wheel covers and emblems.
Starting in the 80's RR began making Bentleys that where a little sportier. About '98 VW took over RR Motor Cars and knowing they would have to turn over the RR name to BMW in 2003 they began driving the RR name into the ground while boosting the Bentley name. In 2003 BMW openned the new RR factory in Greenwood UK and for the first time since 1932 Bentleys and RR s where built in different factories and completly different cars. Bentley (VW) is still making the Bentleys in the factory at Crewe. So to answer your question from 1933 trough 2002 the cars where very very close to each other. |
