H-Body!?

I figured it was only a matter of time before the little H-Body was again "popular". It was for a short period in the early '80s.

A good friend has a '75 model. We pumped up the little Vega engine. The car is kinda cool! It's a coupe with TH350 (air cooled!). I think the car NEEDS a manual trans, though...

Re: H-Body!?

Oh yes, the old sub-compact "H" body RWD. I recall the 70s had the Pontiac Sunbird, Buick Skyhawk, Chevrolet Monza and Olds Starfire. I liked the hatchback models.

On the Vega, the Cosworth Vega comes to mind.

Re: H-Body!?

Got my first car in 83 and it was a 75 Astre with a 4 speed. I went through 4 or 5 clutches an oil pan and a differential. My dad had it fixed up before he gave it to me. He had a guy put on a front chin spoiler, a glassed in rear kick spoiler and painted it cherry red with black vinyl interior. Engine bit the dust in 85.
