Rear Signal Light / Brake Light Issues
Hi everyone, I need some help/advice on a signal light / brake light issue on my 2006 Pontiac Pursuit.
I originally thought I had a right rear signal light / brake light burnt out, so I replaced the bulb with a new one (3057). This didn't work, so I also replaced the smaller bulb in the brake/signal light section (194) as well as the reverse light (921). The signal light/brake light still do not work. However, when I turn on the headlights, my tail lights DO come on. The reverse lights come on too. I checked the fuse labeled stop light and it is fine. I'm stumped on this and would appreciate any advice. Last edited by moosehead2000; 08-21-2015 at 12:37 PM. Reason: Forgot to put make of car in post |

Re: Rear Signal Light / Brake Light Issues
Well what you have to do, is remove the bulb, have someone apply the brake, and check for power and ground....if there is no ground, that's an easy fix(run a redundant ground).....
If there is no power.....you don't want to know the answer.......it get's it's power from the BCM, or Body Control Module....expensive.... Hope it's a bad socket...... Could not find a diagram for the Pursuit, so I used a 2006 Cobalt diagram....should be the same.... |
