2002 Taurus P1400 code problem
I have a 2002 Taurus with a 3.0 OHV and it has a P1400 Diff pressure feedback sensor. The car runs decent at idle but it doesnt have much power when driving and the trans is slow to shift. I checked the EGR sensor and it was melted and had a hole in it plus it was missing the vacuum line towards the passenger side. I replaced them both but it still did the same thing. I was hoping someone had an idea what the problem might be.

Re: 2002 Taurus P1400 code problem
What is the point of having this forum site? It used to be a good site now it is just a waste of time and no one leaves any comments plus few people even start a thread.

Re: 2002 Taurus P1400 code problem
It's also possible no one has experienced the issue you're asking about and would simply be guessing to post any ideas.
So besides replacing the sensor and hose have you checked anything else, such as how lean the car is running? Have you gone through the troubleshooting steps for a P1400 diagnostic code? If you don't have the steps post back and I can create a PDF of them from the factory service manual. Well, at least I should be able to. -Rod |

Re: 2002 Taurus P1400 code problem
I found out that EGR codes are a very common problem and with the help of youtube I fixed the problem almost 2 weeks ago. This site used to have many armchair mechanics and others who had or still have similar issues to any post but I guess they all left with the exception of you. I thought no one had issues with their fords but I looked around this site and most everything has very little posts. I guess forums are a thing of the past.

Re: 2002 Taurus P1400 code problem
Unfortunately it does seem that the majority of forum traffic recently has been by spammers. I'm not sure where the "knowledge" has shifted to, but I suspect YouTube has reduced the amount of traffic in forums.
