Wierd Electrical Problem

Late last fall my 2011 Highlander Limited started eating batteries. You would put a battery in and 3 days later it would be dead. I went through 4 batteries each having the same problem. Finally late winter early spring I left it with the repair shop who once again replaced the battery. I told him to keep the car, drive it and have it as long as he needed it. 3 Weeks later I get a call saying that the problem never recurred. So I happily took the car and drove it all summer. Now the temps in this area have started to get cold and at around 45 degrees, the same problem is occurring. SO, something is causing battery drain when the temperature drops below 50 or so. Otherwise, if I lived in Florida I wouldn't have this problem. What do you all make of this? Yes, I have an aftermarket remote start but if it had a fault I would have seen it year round. My repair guy doesn't want to see me. The car has 145k miles on it and I have insurance. The insurance will pay for diagnostic and the faulty part but will not pay for test parts such as a starter or alternator if that's not the cause. I know about parasitic drain but why would this happen in temps under 50 or 45 degrees? Does anyone know if anything in this car activates at low temps? At 72 years old I don't feel well enough to stand outside in 30 degree weather to do a draw test.
I would be curious if anyone has seen anything like this before.

As you said someone has to do a draw test, using a non-contact ammeter, there modules that can take maybe 10 minutes to go to "sleep".

That would be really wierd, modules that take 10 minutes to go to sleep but only on warm days and not on cold days

Agreed, but check em anyway to eliminate a possible issue.
