I finally have the opportunity to change the fuel filter on my GP, but I notice you highly recommend to use a AC Delco fuel filter; however, I have a Purotator fuel filter. What should I do? And can you pinpoint the schalve valve for me in a photo for my GP 3.1L V6 128580 km. Please respond promptly. Thanks!

    tblake.... quick question please?!

For Sale at local dealer: Burgundy cherry 2005 GXP, 56k miles. I'd consider to be excellent condition. They're asking $12,995. I've got a 2000 GP, 196,000 miles to trade. Issues with it are mounting (windshield severely cracked, UIM oil leaks, hub bearings, etc). Would I be out of mind to say $10,000 to trade? Any issues with the GXP that I should be aware of?

Hey Tim. What kind of air intake do you have? Do you have a stock air box with a disposable paper filter?

I have never had a sebring trans apart so I cant be of much help. I apologize. Have you cehcked the level? If its low, it wont shift. About the best I could recommend is to remove the pan, replace the filter, and refill it with the proper fluid amount and type (whether its dexron or aft+4). I do know that sometimes when the fluid warms up, it thins out and if the filter seal is leaking, it will lose all trans line pressure and your trans wont shift. I have even seen some cars (GM ones though) that shifted perfectly fine when cold, but when warmed up, they slipped. On most of them, a simple pan drop and filter change fixed the issue. If you remove the pan, pay attention and look for any metal shavings or bits of metal. If it looks good, and doesnt shift when you get it back together, if you can, get it scanned by the dealership and see if any DTC's are present that indicate the trans issue.

People in the Sebring Forum don't seem to be any help so I decided to message you. My sister has a 01 sebring with a rebuilt trans (prior to purchasing) and the trans is acting up. At first it wouldnt shift when trans warmed up and it would just rev which i thought might be the input speed sensor on the trans.. She hasnt been driving it like this its just moving it in and out of driveway. I replaced the input sensor and no luck.

New problem.. when car is put in autostick the dash does not display what gear it is in

Nice Job. The way the light diffueses is what I was afraid of when I was thinking about doing mine. I think there are wider angle LED's, thought I saw some on ebay at one point. Anyways, nice work and thanks for the photo's.

Well, here is the final product - CD player with LED replacements. All of the buttons are lit, but the button group to the right of the presets is dim, as are the knob displays on the left (I think it is just the way the light is diffused; the LED's are working. Anyway, it looks better in real life than the photo. I'm happy with it.
