    Hello,

I just responded to a post in a thread I started. I attempted to add a picture to my reply (a .png file, 265.5 kB). The name of the image is: scuba_cat.png. When I attempted to upload the image, the forum's software informed me that the file type was not valid (or something similar to this. I should have noted the exact message, but did not).

Can you please help me understand what the problem is so that I can take steps to remedy it?

    Thanks much!

I have a quick question for you. I followed your thread last week about the intake manifold things and how to check which was bad. I was able to easily repair it mayself thanks to your input.
Now, we've had our 98 Windstar for 13 years because it has been trouble free all that time. The last few months it has started to give us issues.
My A/C works great in the front of the van. But the rear A/C for passengers only blows hot air. There were even times in the winter when the heater would blow cold air for the rear passengers. What's up and how I can fix it?

    Wiswind,

I have followed many of your threads and comments regarding Windstars. I have a 2001 which has been a nightmare for maintenance but thanks to your guidance I managed many a repair for which my pocket book appreciates you. At this time my son is working on his ignition cylinder lock and I am at my wits end trying to help him so I posted a thread on the forum under the Mazda section (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...24#post7030324). If you have time could you review it and provide feedback?

Any and all assistance is appreciated but if you don't have the time I understand. Thank you in advance for your consideration and again for all of your assistance on the Windstars.

I was looking at your pics of the thermostat and thermostat gasket. The part #'s when i look them up are listed for a ford 4.2 litre truck. Does this gasket and thermostat work for the windstar with and without rear heat. Hope that you can help me. Thank you in advance.

    Hi Wiswind
Just to let you know in case you have not seen it. Look at the post "Rear Axle Recall muffler issue" you will see ( in addition to my answer) a post from the member "Maheran" This guy ( from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia....) is doing advertising and this is the third time he made that on this forum only to post spam or advertising; I think it is against the rules of this forum isn't it?
    Have a good day

I just traveled from Des Moines, Ia to El Paso, Tx, and everything good, even with 110 degrees on Oklahoma. Ok, the point is, when arrived to El Paso, on a stop ligth, i feel like the transmission was shifting, and once the green ligth came on, i feel like the gears are not shifting right. Before the trip, I changed the fluid transmision filter and fluid ( just the pan oil with mercon V fluid). Please help me with this issue, I love the windstar but I'm affroid to have a bad transmission. I'm planing to install a auxiliar transmission fluid cooler, could you advice me wich one buy?
