:sarcasmsign:
So of course one has to ask the questions:
When will they issue a recall of the model?
and
will this model suddenly accelerate away and run into the wall across the room?

Cool, there was news of it in a previous thread. I think i might get one when they get released.

The funniest part is those parts that are recalled are made in the good old USA. So think long and hard about this!

I wouldn't mind building one. I've seen some rather well-done 1:1 Priuses (Prii?). Quirky cars, but they can still look great with some subtle changes.

I'm sorry, I personally think many of the West Coast Customs cars are a joke. Not much thought going into some of their builds (not all but many). Definitely a difference of styles between tuner cultures. They seem too rushed on their builds.
Here's a small list of other Japanese tuners that have touched the hybrid... CLICK ME (http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/01/25/gallery-gt-gt-hybrid-style-tas2010.aspx) and my personal fav CLICK ME (http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/11/19/car-spotlight-gt-gt-aimgain-prius.aspx). They've also got the Top Secret tuned version HERE (http://www.topsecretjpn.com/zvw30.shtml).
Another fav...

Hello,
i am italian, so i live in a country where i've always been used to eat pasta and engines and i will do my best to support italian cars, but ... our car industry is in a bad disease as other european, asian and american ones. In these hard days i am afraid that everithing is permitted in order to beat the competitors for slices of cackes smaller from day to day, also building a "case" against Toyota and japanese firms, attacking their best strength, the reliability, as a gun.

I seriously don't get this. They make a Prius, and still no BMW M5. Or M3. Or M6. You got to be kidding me.

Does seem to be a waste of time and effort to me too :(
I just can't imagine that this is the dream, "must have" kit of a large number of automotive modellers.
I can relate to people being more into e.g. Japanese cars than Euro or US cars etc. but a Prius?!?!? :screwy:
I guess Toyota must have given the licensing rights away for nothing - they need all the free advertising they can get right now :D:D ;)

Isn't it obvious though? Tamiya, aoshima, fujimi are japanese companies. If they were out of germany i think we would see more euro, but since they are jap we will always see more of their domestics than any others. Or it could be to help out toyotas recent recalls here in the states.
But i do agree, more euros would be great.

So of course one has to ask the questions:
When will they issue a recall of the model?
and
will this model suddenly accelerate away and run into the wall across the room?
This acceleration problem on the Prius was a fake. There's no problem, no recall.

Hey guys... I also don't get this. Must be a popular car in Japan. And as the Japanese modeling companies sell most of their kits in Japan it might make sense there.
Just a suggestion: you all remember the Lotus Seven group build we had a couple of years ago... how about a "stuff any engine with any drivetrain layout in a Prius group build"? One could build a dragster with a monster V8, a LeMans phantom racer, an offroader, a MadMax style vehicle, a boat, a plane - you name it. Could lead to some very interesting builds I reckon??
Cheers

The MAN is talking here! I completely agree that it would be a lot of fun to have that group build.
Now to close the other group build (Air-cooled), Andy... :D

I wasn't really being sarcastic. My dad drives a Magna TL Executive limited edition ( advance wheels, cruise control.....) and it would be good to buy him one, make it up and suprise him. Other than that I think a Ralliart Magna would be cool, with the Evo 7 wheels and big wing.
I think countach79 you are right with the diamante, the 380 was actually a Galant in the US before it came to Australia!
