For a dutch groupbuild we decided to build all kind of drifters.

I had this Aoshima kit laying around, and wanted to build it just like the boxart.

I don't know where the original wheels are, but I was lucky I had another aftermarket set with the same wheels.

Some parts will be replaced by PE or other parts. For example the seats, which got molded on seatbelts, wil be replaced by some Scale Production seats with HobbyDesign PE seatbelts.

After sanding the body, I could spray some white primer from Zero Paints on it.

The photos shows a bit of broken white color, but believe me it is pure white like the paint in the bottle

Tonight I'll start adding the decals on the body.

Yes, they do they're called Infiniti G35 sedans here in the states! LOL! :lol2:

All kidding aside though, the original Skylines (50's) started off as 4-door sedans.

Nomuken's ER34 isn't a GT-R but there actually were the original Hakosuka four-door GT-R variants (60's), then later the R32 and R33 Autech four-door GT-R versions (90's).

Skylines have always come in 4 doors, Theres probly none in the US but over here in NZ there are heaps!! the 2 door coupes definetly look better!
A friend of mine had a 4 door R32 turbo, man was it quick & good to drift.

Yesterday I started with adding the decals.

It was a nightmare to do. Every decal broke in several pieces when it contacts water or my tweezer.

Some decals must be placed over big curves and roundings which is also a nightmare to do. I used a lot of decal softener and a hairdryer.

I don´t have any experience with so many decals, but the overall result is ok to me. Some decals which were just one piece, became a big puzzle when it broke in 40 pieces.

For the side mirrors and rearwing i used Scale Motorsport High Defenition carbon. This is the best carbon decal i ever seen.

Today I went on with the Skyline.

First I painted the interior. After some Tamiya grey primer, I painted some Vallejo Air Artic Blue on it.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/2K_001_%28Medium%29~1.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/2K_002_%28Medium%29~1.jpg

After dinner I mixed some 2K laquer and clearcoated the interior.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/2K_004_%28Medium%29~0.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/2K_005_%28Medium%29~0.jpg

There's a few dusts in it, but nothing to worry. Almost everything will be covered, or not be noticed when it's done.

The rear wing and side mirrors also got some clearcoat:

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/2K_006_%28Medium%29~0.jpg

I clearcoated the body a couple days ago, but I had some black dusts in the white areas. So I sanded them away, and today I gave it another clearcoat.

Looks good! I've been waiting and waiting for this model some time. I think I'll order one soon. I've been wanting to do a custom build of the current ER34 Nomuken drives which is the new Uras GT-Style Kit. Maybe after I'm done with my Sil80 build which I need to get back to.

Oh don't forget about the eyeliner on the headlights. It should be the same white as the body.

Well a lot happened to this project. After polishing the paint, I masked the body to paint the black windowtrims. This was nicely done, but after removing the masking tape the paint came with it. Repairing was not an option because I pulled away the primer also.

There was nothing to do, so I putted it in brake fluid for a couple weeks. But the 2K clear didn't came of  So I bought some 99% IPA and this works much better. Then again a couple days of brakefluid and I had a nice new body.

As far as I know there are a few more modellers who got this problem also with zero paints WHITE primer. The grey primer don't have this problem..... anyone who can admit that?

But.... after some small putty and sanding I primed the body again (grey primer though :D) Unfortunatly I have not a spare decalsheet of the Nomuken Blitz car, so I had to make my own version.

I don't know how the car must look at the end, but I started to search for a nice color. I thought Mugello Blue Pearl from Audi would be a nice color for it :)

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_001_%28Medium%29.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_002_%28Medium%29.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_003_%28Medium%29.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_004_%28Medium%29.jpg

The chassis was already painted white before, and meanwhile I had started to paint some details on it. I'll leave it white cause it suits the blue color. At the end the whole chassis will be wheatered a bit.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_005_%28Medium%29.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_006_%28Medium%29.jpg

I also painted the rollcage blue, but it will be polished aluminium. I first assembled the cage, and added another bar to attach the seatbelts later.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_007_%28Medium%29.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_008_%28Medium%29.jpg

I also painted the seats. First I painted them with Scale Fabric spray from Tenco Proto. After that I painted some flat blue on it.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_009_%28Medium%29.jpg

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/mugello_blue_010_%28Medium%29.jpg

Now I'm going to find some decals for it.

Today I did a lot of work on the interior.

First I already painted the dash with Scale Fabric spray. After that I gave it another layer with metallic black.

Some decals and PE stuff were added also.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/INTERIEUR_003_%28Medium%29.jpg

It looks quite massive, but believe me when I say it's only on the pics.

Most of the work I did today was for the seatbelts. I used Hobby Design seatbeltset but this time I used real seatbelt material instead of the copper shitty stuff which Hobby Design included in their set.

I also painted the rollcage polished aluminium with Alclad paint.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/INTERIEUR_017_%28Medium%29.jpg

For a better adhesion for the decals I sprayed one layer of clear on the body. It's not shiny but it will be after some nice decals.... still looking for them though.... :D

And sprayed some 2K clear today. A few dusts in the last layer, but I'll polish them away when the paint is dry.

The dust on the pics are just on the surface, because the body was drying this afternoon in the sunny garden :)

Not much done last days, but still got an update.

First I did the brakes. I used Fujimi Nissan GT-R brakes which are very nice. They are multipieces so they look very realistic. For the brake calipers I used some resin ones from ScaleProduction.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_5999_%5B800x600%5D.JPG
http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6000_%5B800x600%5D.JPG

I painted the discs alclad chrome and did a blackwash on them. The calipers are bright orange painted.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6023_%5B800x600%5D.JPG

The chassis is also nearly completed. Only need to add the exhaust on and put the rear wheels on it. I lowered the suspensin by removing the real spring which was included in the kit.

I also did a bit of wheatering.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6025_%5B800x600%5D.JPG
http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6027_%5B800x600%5D.JPG

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6029_%5B800x600%5D.JPG

The body was polished yesterday. After that I had to paint the windowtrims semigloss black. I used Tamiya x-18 paint for that job.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6039_%5B800x600%5D.JPG

And also painted the windows.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/100_6040_%5B800x600%5D.JPG

So I have to put it together now.

On the body I added the lights. The frontlight glasses are a pain in the ass to fit. But after some sanding they got the correct shape and they fitted much better.

I also added some decals on it. Startnumber 13 stands for the paintproblems I had....!

At last I added the rearwing and sidemirrors.
