Is there a water drain in the bottom of the heater box on the 96 Vic ? It's been a while since I had one all apart and can't remember. I think mine is clogged and not letting the box drain if any water gets in. Let me know location if any one knows off hand. It's kind of hard to see way back in there.

The drain is located on the bottom near ther second inside screw on the bottom. It is kinda hard to get to. It is close to where the plenum starts to get bigger for the evaporator.

Hey great, Now I know right where to look. Haven't done it yet, should have done it yesterday when it was nice out. Today everything is frozen.

Well it warmed up this afternoon. I was able to see the drain hole after removing the wheel on the passenger side. I used my long air wand, and blasted the hole out with some compressed air. I just don't know how you would even get in there with out removing the wheel. Well guys thanks for all the help, with getting the vic back in running order again. I'm passing the car along to the proud new owner this weekend. I turned him on to this forum so I'm sure he will be checking in from time to time. It's the only vic I had left, so I will be leaving the Crown Vic page. Not to worry, I still have a bunch of Lincoln Town Cars and a Grand Marquis left. Long live the land yachts.
