will a 90-94 tc mirror fit a 95-97 ? reall wish my mirrors were chrome. also, on my 97, under the hood, my tc didn't come with the fancy little cover that covers up the throttle body (the one that says 4.6 on it-not the one that says v8 - i think towncar's car has the one i'm talking about) so i was wondering if i got 1 from a junk yard it should "snap" on shouldn't it?
my cars getting painted in about another week and i wanted to get that cover, and i'm pulling a lot of stuff (mainly plastic parts like fuse box's,covers, washer bottle, valve covers, and a few other things currently forgotten) so that i can have em all painted to match the color of my car (thought'd it look good and make it "pop" when the hoods up).

Hi Jason
I know the 95 to 97 mirror is physically larger. I crushed the 95 TC I had, so I can't check if the older mirror will fit the door. I know it does mount differently. The older chrome ones have the two nuts on the inside where the newer ones have one nut on the inside and one bolt on the outside where the mirror pivots. I have one chrome mirror on my desk and I have one of the newer style ones around here some where. I'll see if I can find it and do some comparisons for you.
I got part of my TC re painted in the summer. Here is a pic of mine. Definitely post some pics with the new paint job.

The angle on the mirror base is on the same plane, the connectors are the same, wiring is a few inches longer on the chrome mirrior, the mounting bolt pattern is the same. The only thing I think you would have to do is drill out the weld nut for the forward mount. You might have to slot the rear mounting hole slightly for proper fit. Here are some pictures I took of the mirrors this afternoon.

thanks a lot, thats what i needed to see :iceslolan
pics will be up after she rolls out of the booth, leaving one day next week, i should have it painted and put back together by the first of march.
going with the stock light cypress, but with some gold ice pearl and some really nice dupont chroma clear, it should look like glass after the cut & buff !
the silver on that lincoln was shinin ! looks nice ! thanks for throwing up those pictures, eh, still trying to make my mind up wether or not to keep the stocks or switch em, i mean you can never have to much chrome !

I like the durability of the metal body chrome mirror, the plastic one seems a bit flimsy to me.
