Labor hours for brake lines?

Someone know about how many hours of labor to replace brake lines (both sides) for a 98 Expedition 4WD?

Also, not just on this vehicle, but in general, I find so many shops always want to turn rotors every time you replace disks. How often, in general, does that really need to be done?

Thanks

Brake line labor is usually open to interpretation. One guy might tell you 1/2 hour a side and another will tell you 2 hours for the whole job. It just depends on what parts you use, where you splice, If you splice, how well fittings come apart, how rusty the under side is, etc.

As far as turning the rotors with new pads its a great idea. The rotors are as true as there going to get which makes break in of the pads a lot quicker. Your also lessening the chance of brake noise with the new pads and your giving the pads. A smooth flat surface has to be a lot better than a wavy, grooved, tapered, rusty, discolored surface, right?
