i have a 92 gmc full size 4.3l 5sp.. i was driving it the other day and my votage meter in the dash droped alot was running 14 now running down around ten... starts great and stays running fine.. but lights dime and radio goes down when this happens.. i was thinking maybe the voltage regulator was going bad.. cause like i said it starts great.. no slow crank or anything.. if you have any ideas pls let me know .. thanks

Sounds like a bad alternator have the charging voltage checked, just basics here.

I second what the guy before me said.
Is this an intermittent problem or did it just drop off and stay off? You MIGHT try checking your electrical connections on your alternator, but it sounds like a bad alternator. Fortunately that's an inexpensive part and a very easy change-out.
