97 dx y7 to y8 swap

I'm sure this has been talked about until people are blue in the face, but I'm the new guy. And yes before anyone asks , I have done an amazing amount of research on this , but have come up with just that, an amazing amount of answers. So my question is , I have a 97 DX AUTO :banghead: , I want to put the y8 head, intake mani, and exhaust mani on my block. (i'll explain why bare with me) In order to do so I know I need to remove my head and intake mani and exhaust mani, remove the oil jet between 2-3 cylinders, replace the head gasket with the y8 metal one (and I use copper spray) , bolt on the y8 head and intake mani, and use the y8 exhaust mani as well, now my question is in order to get the v-tec to work, do I need the P2P ecu and a jumper harness or can i run the P2P and run a wire to the ecu for the v-tec solenoid, the reason for the easy swap is I am a heart patient with seizures and I had a real bad seizure that hit my spinal cord so I don't have millions of dolloars for gsrs', ls/vtecs, I would love to drop in the b16a si I love it , people turn their nose up at it....lol. everybody is different. So can some one please help with the last part of the build , I can't afford to mess up.

As long as it's a '96-'98 Automatic P2P, then you will just need to run the 2 VTEC wires to the ECU (the other pressure switch wire being a ground). So you'll need to go to a junkyard and get 2 pins to use and splice into, or go to the local stealership and buy new ones.

Here's how you remove the pins:

Here's where the wires go to, if you didn't know already:

Your harness will have 4 plugs, because it's automatic, just don't pay attention to the "B" plug that is missing from the picture. And you're only have to worry about the wires for the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch, the rest of the wires don't apply to you.
