2002 Ram Van 3500, 5.9 gas engine has late shift (about 3200 RPMS), trans temp light on, and "overdrive off" light on.
Trouble codes:
P1762 Governor Pressure switch offset.
P0713 Trans Temp Sensor Voltage High
My diagnosis:
Scanner indicated trans was as 150 degrees celcius when it was actually about 20 degrees celcius. Scanner indicated 1.89V it gov press sw, with key on, engine off, it should read between .35 and .65 V.
Temp switch and gov press switch are integrated into one unit called the Governor Pressure Transducer on front right corner of valve body. (plugs into 4 wire braid covered harnass that curves around trans filter)
Installed new "governor pressure transducer" (mopar part# 56028196A),temp dropped to 24 degrees celcius, gov press sw read .45V.
Refilled with ATF+4, cleared codes, test drove, works perfect!
