Service Tire Monitor

I just took my "new to me" 07 Envoy (Denali) on vacation, about 1900 miles round trip and noticed an the way home, my "Service Tire Monitor" message came up on the DIC. I had my wife look it up in the manual and read the description as we drove. I then cycled thru the tire pressures and found that the FR tire was showing no pressure feedback. The tire was obviously fine, and the message reset after a few minutes. A few hours later it came on two more times, this time showing the RR tire as having no feedback. That was the last time it came on and I drove approx. 200 more miles to home. After reading some posts on the Internet, my theory is that the tire pressure sensors in the wheels temporarily malfunctioned due to the potholes I hit on the roadway.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? All opinions are welcomed.
