93 seat belt replacement

The retractor on my front passenger seat belt doesn't anymore. GM no longer carries those belts and I wouldn't pay their price probably anyway. What model years would work for a replacement for a 93 retractor part? If I were to replace the retractor & the receiver - both parts, what model years would work? I guess as long as the 3 mounts were the same - retractor base, shoulder attach & receiver mount, what model years should or should not work? Thanks.

scrap yard...make a list of needed parts,,with a 1993 I'm sure you'll have a long list...

Thanks but been there, done that without success so far. Even with that you need to know which model year seat belts will work for your car which is really what I'm asking here.

take the seat belt out of your vehicle and do a match...with the scrap yard vehicles..
this is a question which very few will have the exact answer,,,even the scrap yard workers,,,not many looking for seat belts on a 16yr old vehicle

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with the after market "generic" seat belts out there. They say some modification may be required to fit/work which scares me. Also, forget about a color match - they seem to all be black. Anybody care to chime in on this?

If you have less than 100,000 miles, GM will replace both front belts and retractors including labor under a non-publicized extended safety system warranty.

Knowing about this, I took my '90 to the dealer at 99,900 miles. They could only get a '1991 set (slightly lighter shade of gray). I said go ahead and a $500 job including labor was done for free.

Worth a shot.
