How are you supose to remove the pan on a 4L60E transmission in order to change the filter? I have an 02 Suburban K1500 and I had to bolt the pan back up since I could not get the pan off due to linkage being in the way. Is there a good way to remove the linkage in order to remove the pan, or do I have to get a flush done? My dealer recommends getting a flush done and not to remove the pan to change the filter. Please help, since money is tight and I don't need any major vehicle expense.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There is a transmission support crossmember that needs to be moved to shimmy the pan out. The linkage should be just moveable to get the pan out once the crossmember is slid aft about 6 inches (support the tranny's tail).
