Cool design and also wondering about the location.

If it's in York, Pa, that's where I grew up and back in the 60's/70's there was several
speciality shops that just served the air-cooled folks. My neighbor had a killer twin-turbo Monza Convair (like a Yenko Stinger only home-brewed) sponsored out of Ron's VW shop.

since it's mostly a local event and the 6th time they've held it, I assume they wanted the informality. It is York PA, but in their advertising they just say York. Whatta ya gonna do? The cars kinda told me it was car related. Coulda been stated bolder I suppose.

I get paid to do what they say, not necessarily tell them what to do, you know.

It is a car show with a cook out. It's not huge or anything.

It was fun to try though. I'm glad I did it.

The Irony of your "bobble head" style was brought home to me the other
day when I, along with my 6'2" 15 year old son, test drove a Nissan Cube.
He looked ridiculously small in that thing which reminded me of the VWs
that had served my family in the past. They, too, have acres of head room
but not when drawn with the whimsy of L. "big head" Harris...
