Rear A/C won't turn off

I have a '99 suburban and had the front A/C turned on max. The A/C button works but doesn't light up. When I put the rear A/C on High it worked great. Now I turned it Low and it stayed on High. I even turned it off while the suburban was still running and nothing. I then turned the truck off and when I turned it back on the A/C in the rear kicked right back on High.

Any solutions?

Are you trying to control the rear AC from the front, or from the rear panel? On my '94 there's a switch up front that either turns off the controls for the rear or allows those in the rear to be able to control their own choices. Apparently rear controls are for the case where it's "too tough" for 2nd seat passengers to converse with the driver....thanks GM, keep giving us more complexity !!!

I tried having the front control it and set it to rear contols. Still running. Is there a fuse that is just for the rear A/C that I could pull and reset?

This is for the Old Body Style Sub. If you have a New Body Style it is probably different.

Sounds like you have a relay stuck. In the I/P fuse block is RR HVAC fuse #5 10a. You can try pulling it but I don't think it's going to do anything since it's hot with the key in the RUN position only. In the Underhood fuse block is BLOWER fuse #3 50a. This fuse is hot at all times. Pulling this fuse would disable the front blower also. Relays for the rear blower are located behind the right rear wheel well inside the trim panel.
