ventillation a/c problem on 97

I have a 97 K1500. I am trying to get some insight prior to ripping apart the ventillation duct in the pax floorboard. A/C blows cold, but flow from driver's side is very minimal. Pax side is a little better but not much. While driving with A/C on, if I roll down a window, especially driver's side, it feels as though someone turned heat on but only on driver's side floor vent - full blast too! I am suspecting that possibly something is blocking the damper from proper operation int he duct system, but just guessing at this point. One other thing, that may be unrelated, is that we sometimes notice water dripping from pax side vent duct onto the floor. Seems to be running from bottom of the duct itself and not from a vent. Any ideas? U have tried searching through the archives, but maybe I am not searching the right words.:runaround:

been reading some more and wondering if it could possibly be related to a vacuum line issue somewhere?:screwy:

Don't know about your '97 but all the heating/cooling and vent doors my '98 K2500 Sub are electrical motor driven. Need to pull the glove box out and check if yours is vacuum or electrical.
As far as the water dripping thing. There is a drain line just behind and inside of the right front tire in front of the firewall that could be plugged.
