Parts Stores keep giving me wrong parts

Hey guys. I went to several parts stores looking for the upper rad hose for my 95 Talon Esi. 5 Speed Manual. And in 3 different stores they keep giving the wrong hose. I usually argued with them for a bit, they they all insisted it was the right one. Which it was diffently not. I finally went to the 4th store and was telling the guy working there what was happening. He then told me to go get the VIN number form the car. When I came back in and gave it to him, he was able to get the right hose right away. He said I was having problems because my car has a chrysler engine.
I'm far from a car guru, but I have to wounder when you go to get a part store and the shops ask the usual questions year, make, model and usually manual or auto how is it they could be so wrong. I only ask this because i now have to replace the lower hose and really don't feel like going through it all over again. And before anyone ask's I coulden't get the lower one from the same store as the upper because he said they diden't have any.
So in short when i go to a parts store and ask for a lower rad hose and they ask me all the general questions, is there something more I could or should tell them to make sure I get the right one.
Thanks

Tell them it's a 2.0 non-turbo... I bet they keep putting in a 2.0 turbo model which has everything completely opposite between the two models. That would be the only way they could be screwing it up at so many different stores. :2cents:

Just woundering by any chance if the 95's had different engines that year. ie - chylser, mitsubishi

All 95-99 non-turbo models have the Chyrsler 420a motor.

The only way they could confuse the chrysler (420a non-turbo) motor with the mitsubishi (4g63t turbo) motor would be they are looking up the wrong one since they are both 2.0 L motors. I bet if you specify that its the non-turbo 2.0 they'll give you the right part next time.
