1998 7.4 Burb P0102

Getting intermittent P0102. Cleaned MAF, appears "normal" under test conditions, but thows random code and heavy hesitate at random speeds under 45mph.

The clue might sit in the freeze frame data.

TPS is showing 0%( at 45mph), Calc Load is showing 0%, MAF showing 0% with the only code being the MAF P0102. All these parameters are normal during idle tests.

Anyone with a wiring diagram see the common thread for a random 0 reading on these PIDs?, ...or can you point me in the right direction for a wiring diagram for a 1998 7.4L burb.

Thanks

My 1st thought would be wiring and/or connectors. The only common thread is the VCM.

Check the TPS with the key in the run position and the engine off for a smooth and uninterrupted transition from 0% to 100%.

If you want to take a drive up the Highway 70 canyon to my place let me know and I'll send you a P.M. for directions.

It turns out it was a bad the MAF connector. Both MAF and Calc Load on the scope was 0. Noticed it at zero at idle (got luckey) and went around a wiggled wires (after I had already cleaned posts on the connector earlier), all the sudden it was showing readings again. Being cheap and not wanting to spend the $30 bucks for a dealer connector, I backed the connector out 1/4 inch (to get a freash connector spot) and taped the connectors together with e-tape. All is good now, no codes for a week.

Thanks for the Hwy 70 offer.
I think the TPS at zero was a red herring....its possible my foot was off the gas, and it seems fine in all ranges now.
