Gm sucks !

GM SUKS
06-07-2009, 06:05 PM
Approximately 20 Million Gm Cars & Trucks since at least 1995, have had dexcool associated problems.

The lawsuit was closed last may. The lawyers made bucks. Gm Got off the hook, Millions were never notified.

& Now that their filing Bankruptcy, Maybe even having to pay the classaction winners their paltry sums isnt necessary.

The dealers claimed, after they repaired Headgaskets Etc. That they didnt Know Dexcool SHOULD NOT BE PUT BACK IN !
but they did, & those cars that were repaired, your days are numbered.

You should seee inside the radiator, when this takes place...... It Truly is a sad day for Gm. They Made a product That You HaveTo Use For Your Warranty, Only Problem is, Is That it BLOWS HEADGASKETS !

Thats Enough For Me To Believe that, GM SUCKS ! IS MADE IN MEXICO, READ YOUR DOOR JAMB, & THAT THE BEST THING TO DO IS READ CONSUMER REPORTS, BEFORE YOU BUY !:smooch:

Do you have a source to back that claim up?

1) The problem was not entirely the Dex Cool but rather poor materials and design of the gaskets. and 2) Dex Cool should be used in 1995 vehicles and up where it came from the factory installed as it is formulated for the engine and cooling system. Most of the issues have been resolved with revised gaskets and materials.
Also GM is still in Consumer Reports Top 10 :http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/autos/0802/gallery.2008_cr_best_cars/3.html and http://money.cnn.com/2007/07/03/autos/ford_gm_turnaround/index.htm Again it helps to back up your claims with sources.
Also which models are you referring to that are made in Mexico? Last I checked many are still produced in the US and Canada.

first off screw this prick GM doesn't suck he does, IMHO GM is the best until they sold themselves to the devil (uncle sam) and yes unfortunatly GM had alot of early cars built in mexico for instance my (from what i hear) 90 buick century has a VIN that begins with the #3 which is supposed to signify that it was produced in mexico but it's such a badass car it's been in 2 lakes and with a 1/4 million on it runs like a top.

That's a Buick for you. I had a 1990 Buick LeSabre that I drove until it had 347,xxx on it. I had to sell it to my sister though. Wish I hadn't now, but she needed a car. The only issue I had with any GM was the 4L60e transmission. The sunshell gear was crap in my 01 Bravada. I had it updated to what is called the 'Beast Gear'. Other than that, the engine and all other parts on it have been GREAT. It has 105,xxx miles on it right now, but I am confident that I can get at least 300,000 out of it. The main problem with vehicles today is people generally let them go until something happens. This causes MAJOR problems for ANY make, model and year of vehicle. There is a little thing called 'preventative maintenance' that I have found to be a great thing to keep up on. I agree that DEXCOOL isn't the best coolant, but I have found that using a GM approved DEXCOOL substitute works just as well. The coolant system is one of the most overlooked systems on a vehicle. Most people assume that if it's full it's good. WRONG!!! You have to maintain it. You should flush it according to maintenance schedules in your vehicle's book. It's not there to look good. It actually has a purpose. I must say to the person who started this thread is a bit narrow minded when it comes to GM products. Maintenance is key when it comes to having a good vehicle no matter if it's a foreign or domestic make.

This is the great part of America, Freedom of speech and the ability to still make some choices.
Perhaps this guy could sell all his GM stuff and buy some other brand, but then would we see FIAT S**ks in a few months or Ford or what?
Unfortuneatly they all have weaknesses.
Schwinn bicycles were pretty reliable!

Actually blazee is the one who moved it. Max closed it when it was in another forum, and blazee re-opened it and moved it to this forum for further discussion.

http://www.mysanantonio.com/business/columnists/g_chambers_williams_iii/Cadillac_satisfies_owners.html
GM's storied Cadillac brand ranked at the top of the list among new-car owners for overall satisfaction in the 2009 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards.

This is the second year in a row that Cadillac has taken the top spot in the annual awards, a closely watched industry barometer for measuring how satisfied owners are with their new cars or light trucks
