jetta overheated while driving. got it home and so far have flushed it. put in new thermostat, new coolant, new coolant sensor, new fan switch, new fan control relay and even hot wired the fans to see if they worked and they do. The fans do not come on and it keeps overheating. I would really appreciate any feed back.:screwy:

It's the fans. It's a common issue with Jettas. There is a bigger fan and a smaller one. When you get them, they are vin specific and tranny specific. They are different from regular auto and tip tronic. You should diagnose before throwing money at your car. Other wise the simplest repairs can be really really exspensive.

Get the car to operating temperature. Take the little hose off and aim it back into the resovoir. Start the car up and have someone rev it up to 3,000 rpms. If it's spirting out and there is not a constant flow then your water pump is bad.
