Well it sounds like a bird chirping is the best way to describe it... It used to happen off and on when it was wet outside... now it happens all the time. My dad decided to spray WD-40 on the pulley and thats when it started... He wants to take it to the shop but he did that last year and spent a ton to have them put new bearings in the pulley... but it clearly didn't help, so if you guys have any idea of what it might be that would be great!
Thanks
Thanks

Which belt is it?
Take the belt off. Check for any damage. Wipe off the WD-40 and put it back on. Mine squeaks when it gets wet also. Seems like a plague of these cars. Most of the time it just needs to be retightened, or the crank pulley may be off centered.
Thanks

We just stopped over at the shop and he said the pulleys didnt look aligned and one was loose.. they ordered me a new pulley and belt and it should be done next week, ill let you know if it works, last time they did something it didnt even make a difference. serpentine belt by the way.

mine squeaks for a few seconds when I start it when its cold. I was told it was the pulley as well, I replaced it and it still happened. I just learned to live with it now, as pretty much all these cars do this.

Which belt though? On the GS you have an alternator belt and then a PS and AC belt. I don't see why they ordered a new pulley (whichever one it was) if it wasn't aligned. They can be pulley off and reseated on the accessory.

Not sure, its probably a ploy to steal money from us... haha
EDIT: On the way home from the garage it did it for about 2-3 miles at least, how long does it last for you guys?

Talking from being wet or cold? When mine is wet it can last the entire trip, short or long. Seems like once I turn the car off, the heat from the motor dries everything off (that's my theory). When cold, does it for couple minutes really, again, probably until it heats up some. Belts stretch and tighten with temperature. Doesn't take much to do it.

Well the mechanic said the pully was loose, so what I am thinking is happening is its getting knocked around and semi-aligns itself because it will stop after a while, but then if i hit a decent sized bump it will start again, and it might explain why it happens every time i start it, even when the engines warm and it had stopped doing it before i shut it off..
either that or im trying to pull something out of my ass here :P
