Went out and started suburban....moved shift lever to drive and nothing. The display lights up but remains in park and I can move the shift lever however I want to....with no change. Cannot get the truck in any gear. Happend right out in the driveway with no warning.
Its a 2001 Sub with 8.1 and 4L80E Trans. No warnings or other lights on.
The gear selector display remains in park no matter how I move the shift lever. At first I thought it might be the shift linkage but would it be reasonable to think its a relay or something to do with the "inter-lock"?
Truck is a K2500 if that makes any difference.

Check shift cable and linkage at transmission and see if shift lever is moving.
Have you been out in the sticks or corn field with it?:lol2:
Cables sometimes pop off of linkage there.
