I am trying to get new headlights for my son's Camry. Called rockauto, cause could not find on their website - they said they only have it for the US made and his car is Japan. Other site do not qualify it J or US, what's up with that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Are you talking about the whole headlight assembly or just the bulbs? If just the bulbs they should be the same. For the bulbs, check your owner's manual or this site:

no I actually was talking about the headlight assembly itself - his are yellowed out again for the n's time and I can tell he is not too excited of polishing them again, plus I am sure there is a limit how many times you can sand them.
BTW, regardless of what they are - J or 1, where would you go buy them? I found few on e-bay, but not sure of the quality...

Sorry, I have no experience buying replacement headlight assemblies. You might want to stop by a body shop and ask them what they recommend. Is there one you have dealt with before?

yes i do, but i was always able to get a better price on-line then they were able to get me. Just recently bought a mirror for my other Camry for $50 and he was saying it's impossible. I am actually considering leaving the headlights the way it is for now and trying more powerful bulbs. But again if the headlights cost me $100 and the bulbs cost anything close to it, i'd rather replace the headlights.
Any suggestions?

I was thinking about asking them if there is an aftermarket brand they can recommend. That said, for $60 the ones that Brian's ebay link shows sounds like a good deal.

I did some rersearch and heard good things about this company. They have a branch right in San Diego, so you could go pick up their parts if they have it in stock. Keep them in mind, just in case the one on ebay falls through or you don't want to wait for shipping.

I've actually tried them once before, but did not buy (at that time I was shopping for the Lincoln) they have a better price for the Camry then for the Lincoln was at the time, but their lenses are glass(not acrylic). How do you guys look at that? I remember the time when all lenses were glass and remember replacing them quite often , but i was on the road a lot more then my son is now...
Still undecided.

I bought the lights in the Ebay link. They seem to be fine and fit as well as the Toyota ones.

cool,
thanks Brian!
My son's friend offered him a set of new light bulbs for $20 with the wiring harness, so I'll see what kind of bulbs are they and why it comes with the harness, then decide on the headlight housing
