how to disable electric door lock

2 times already have I left the car running and closed the doors, of course the doors were locked. The second time, my son was inside, strapped to his babyseat. I had to call AAA to open the door. Same day I got another set of keys, just in case.
Is there a way to prevent 1 door( I was thinking the backdoor) from automatically locking once the engine is running?
this is on a 2000 grand voyager
thanks

It should not lock until you put it in gear. Do you have an aftermarket keyless entry? You could also have a lock switch making contact with out being pushed.

Disconnect power from the door lock actuator in the door you want to leave open.

Disconnect the negative battery lead from the battery for 2-3 minutes. See if that changes anything.

I should be more clear in the statement. The doors lock once the car is put in gear. Of course, if I don't turn off the engine and just get out, the doors will lock when closed.
"Disconnect power from the door lock actuator in the door you want to leave open"
that is what I'd like to do. Can you tell me in more details for the rear door where and which wires to disconnect.
thanks

You will have to pull the door panel. when you have it of just activate the door lock and you will see the actuator. Then unplug it. Your good to go.
