Any tricks to changing rear spark plugs and getting to coil pack. Does the cowl panel come off to get to this stuff?

I replace my rear spark plugs from UNDER the car.
I drive the front up on ramps and lay under the vehicle.....and reach up to the spark plugs.

The easiest way to get to the coil pack is to remove the cowl.
I replaced my coil pack without doing that, but it is harder.

Also....I try to only have 1 spark plug wire off at a time.....so that I don't switch them.

Remove the spark plugs with the engine COOL.
They are easier to remove that way.
It is a steel spark plug in a alluminum head.....so guess which threads are the most tender?
Of course....the most expensive part.

Don't fall for the multi-prong plugs at the auto part stores.....some have had issues with them in the windstar.
The correct plug is a double platinumn, which has the platinumn on both the center electrode and the ground tab......not more than 1 ground tab.
They are available under the Motorcraft and Autolite brand names.
Plugs should last a long time.
