I have a 95 pa and was looking at the intake systems on ebay, which are basically just a chrome tube and a cone filter. They are going for approx $30, which is cheaper than a k&n. Has anyone tried a similar setup?? Did you get any better hp or mpg !!! byt the way I'm currently getting between 21 and 18.5 mpg with mixed driving .

With an unmodified N/A engine, you would be off to replace the stock filter with a Purolator Pure One filter. You could remove the inside silencer baffles, if you just want more noise. The stock air box will supply more air than the engine can consume, plus it gets cool air from the front grill area, much better than hot under-hood air!

If you want better MPG get Granatelli MPG+ wires. These have no resistance and this will increase your fuel efficency by about 10% or your money back. I have them on order as well.
