Here is the first part: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=JAEBzpanGPs
Second with different ending: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=vFFpwxv0Caw
The Hayabusa and the ZX-14 are so close in performance, small changes make a big difference.
These two runs were done within minutes of each other with the exact same machinery. The only thing that changed was the rider on the Kawasaki.

i don't know if 50 lbs would make that much of a difference. it was almost the exact same result regardless of which bike it was. it seems like the one guy was just a better rider.

There was probably a little bit of both factors that resulted in the finish you see.

I totally respect the performance of both of these bikes, but the styling of both has a lot to be desired. I understand that the styling is aerodynamically inspired, but the tapered tailsection of the Hyabusa looks like something you flush. I understand that it's all about bragging rights of who's top speed top-dog, but as a potential buyer, I'd take a nicer looking bike that's a couple MPH slower on the absolute top end that I'd never have the opportunity to reach.

no you don't, it looks like a jet ski on wheels...
Its kinda like that chubby girl you think might be cute if only she lost 30 pounds. Same deal.
I would much rather own and ride a blackbird over a busa anyday. The busa may have taken the blackbirds title, but I prefer the honda's cleaner styling.

yeah i've never been big on the styling of the busa, especially the tail section. the kawi looks a little better IMO but still kinda looks like hell. i'd rather have an 04-06 zx10 or a cbr 1000rr any day.

I'm with you BP2K2Max, they both are not good-looking bikes. They are huge drag bikes for the most part. They handle like crap, and as somebody else said, they look like a jet ski on wheels. A 1000RR or any other 1L bike would be my choice any day over the two red-headed step children ZX-14 and Hayabusa.
