i bought this 1998 intrigue about 6 months ago the check engine light was on but it's now off. had 3 codes pop up on OBDII. p0103,P0300,and P717
after having the car about 2 months the service engine soon, abs, and trac light would come on but them go off after a few starts. now they are on all the time.
any help on this problem

Are you sure that it is not the "Service Vehicle" rather than the "Service Engine" light? If the SVS, ABS, and Trac lights are all on it probably indicates that the wheel hubs need to be replaced. There have been many posts on this forum about this; just search for "intrigue wheel hub" and you should find several posts. They sell these on eBay all the time and from what I understand it is not too difficult to do yourself.
As for the codes:
P0103 - Mass Air Flow sensor high input
P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder misfire
The third code seems to be missing a number between p and 7. There should be four digits. Are there any running issues with the car?

It's safe to assume the last one is P0717, since it can't be P2 or P3.
P0717 is a problem with the transmission input speed sensor. There's a TSB on this which says it's likely due to lose harness, and not a faulty sensor.
I kind of doubt the trac/abs lights coming on has to do with your hubs (though I wouldn't rule it out). Sometimes the computer will light several lights when something has gone horribly, horribly wrong.
How's your engine running? Rough?

while it takes a dealership code scanner to determine exactly, usually a failed wheel speed sensor (wheel hub) is the cause of the svs/trac off and abs lights to kick on. You may also notice your steering is harder...

and yes the 3rd code was P0717

Is the problem caused by the front or back hubs or is it all of them
also will check the wiring harness for P0717
also will check the wiring harness for P0717

It will likely only be one wheel hub causing the problem. Check all the wiring behind the wheels by unplugging and looking for damaged or broken wires. Firmly plug all sensors back in making sure they click (be careful, they break easy) If that does not work them next get a dealership or garage code scan for ABS codes, to determine what exactly the problem is. (this is not a standard code scan) In my case i only had one bad wheel sensor, but both bearings were worn out in the front (had free play in them) so I just went ahead and replaced both front hubs..

I was having the same problem. Take a look at the spindle behind your tires (one of mines were bad and caused the lights to come on randomnly)
