Jackson Racing Super Charger... Thoughts?

A friend of mine told me that if I put a supercharger on my engine, that it will crack the engine block. He said if there is too much psi, then it will crack, just a matter of time til it does. Any suggestions?

It is a stock Honda Civic EX 1998 engine as of now, I want to get a super charger, I have a full DC racing exhaust kit on it already, and a AEM air filter.

How many miles to you have on your car? Is this your every day ride? Who’s going to do the install? Do you have money for a rebuild if you blow you engine? These are the questions you have to ask yourself before dropping some major change on something like this.

That engine can handle 6Lbs of boost reliably, That is the stock amount recommended anyway. The only time you will do damage to your engine is if the boost is turned up to high(more than 9Lbs.).
