2001 Monte Carlo not charging

My Monte Carlo is not charging i had the alternator checked and it is good. I was told the computer controls it but i dont know which one controls it the BCM or the PCM?

hello,if alternator is good check to make sure you are getting 12v to alt.
look for the heavy red wire going to post on alt should be 12v there.

Thanks inafogg i checked the red wire there is no power there. Do you have any idea what to check next?

not real sure without wiring diagram but i think power comes through a fusible link at starter again not sure.you can also look at fuses under hood & fuse box.what engine & trim package do u have i'll see if i can find wire diagram

a 3.8l should be the same but this is for a 01 monte 3.4l the only 1 that is listed
