Help! I recently had to remove the driver side door panel to replace the interior door handle. While waiting for the parts to arrive I left the door open and to prevent draining the battery I pulled the fuse for the dome lights.

After putting everything back together, I discovered that the power door lock switch will lock all of the doors but will not unlock any of the passenger doors. To unlock the driver door with the switch you have to hold it down just the right amount of time and it will only then unlock the driver door.

Additionally the key fob will unlock only the driver side door but will not lock anything.

Close inspection of wiring does not reveal any damage or loose connections. I was careful in removing the door panel.

I suspect that when I removed the fuse something became confused?

Any help is appreciated!! :screwy:

All that fuse removal did was disable the dome lights.

Use a continuity tester and make sure power is going to the passenger side from the drivers door switches. There MAY be a break you can't see.

Do you have a Security message/light come on the dash?

You may want to try and reprogram the door lock/unlock mode. Your owners manual will describe this.

Bad receiver replaced at dealership for approximately $500. Supposedly failed by coincidence when working on door handle... nothing related to door repair.
