98 Tracker stalls when clutch in

My 98 Tracker stalls virtually every time I push in the clutch when I am coming to a stop. It will start right back up and idle although the idle is rough. The only two codes it throws out is the oxygen sensor and the speed sensor, neither of which would cause this problem. The mileage has been decreasing for awhile now and the motor has about 150,000 miles on it. But I've taken good care of it.
The garage I took it to said the compression is 90 lbs. in cylinder #1 and #2 and their recommendation was put a used motor in it for $1800 bucks. I'm not convinced that low compression will cause the stalling. It can cause the rough idle but I don't see it causing the stalling, especially since it will fire right back up and idle okay.
I ran some Seafoam through the fuel tank and put a little in the crank case and the stalling problem disappeared for about 2 weeks then came back. I was thinking dirty fuel injector coupled with low compression for the rough idle. A second can of Seafoam had no effect and it is again stalling constantly. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? :runaround:
