What Does This Switch Do?

In my '91 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon, on the left (driver) side lower dash apron, there is a 2 position rocker switch. This switch is not an after-market add-on; it is the same blue color as the dash and is mounted in a snap-in recessed assembly that mounts in the dash apron. This switch does not seem to do anything. It is not referenced in either my owner or service manual. Anyone?

Can you post a picture of it? Not having owned a RM wagon, but other makes of wagons over the years, my first guess might be that it has to do something with the tailgate, either the glass or the lock perhaps?

I believe the '91 is the same as the '92 RMW (Roadmaster Wagon). My RMW had the rear glass release in the same cluster as the rear wash/wipe switch, in the center of the dash. There was a blank filler plate on the lower left portion of the dash in my RMW, I think in the location to which you refer. The sedans, however, have the trunk release in the location in the lower left dash. If I recall, I believe the sedan trunk release switch vaguely resembles a rocker switch, but it slides, then a spring returns the switch to the previous position. If it is indeed a rocker switch, maybe Buick had another option that they used the location for?
