'93 Suburban alternator choices?

Was there more than one choice for an alternator in a '93 Suburban? I ask this because when I went to get a higher amperage (140 amp) alternator I came to find out that the alternator I currently have that needs replacing is a physically smaller alternator. So the problem I'm having is I think I need a new serpentine alternator/ps pump bracket that is made for the larger alternator? I don't know where to look or how to tell if I'm looking at the right one. The bracket I have mounts to the motor using 3 bolts (2 on the head and 1 down low on the block). I would like to stick with the larger alternator rather than the same size that already fits in my current bracket because I've found the larger alternator is more readily availabe and is a lot cheaper when you're talking about a high amperage alternator.
