You can go to any local auto parts store and pick up some engine cleaner. Spray it on, let it sit, and wash it off. I have used it a couple times and it does work OK. I am not sure how good it is to be spraying that stuff on there though

Just make sure to cover the alter. go to a carwash turn the car off, if has been driven less then 10min good. wait about 5min to cool down then spray the engine cleaner product really good on the engine then with the carwash pressure gun rinse the engine cleaner off the motor once done. turn the car on. warning !! You make see the car trying to stall give a little of gas then let go of the gas pedel if it stop then your good if it contiunes just press Slowly the gas pedal agian idle it for about 1min no more than 2rpm that give it time for the water to heat up from place where water should not be. AS a Advice it never recommend to wash the engine due to electice parts. You are at your own risk.
